School Lunch in Japan

School Lunch in Japan

The details are a little different depending on the region, school.

However, at public school, how they prepare and enjoy their lunch can be seen in this video.

At my elementary school, I didn't bring place mat.   Also, only the students in charge that week wore the white cloths.

At Japanese public schools, there is no cafeteria.  So they use regular class room for lunch.

Enjoy the video!

So different from American school lunches when I was a kid which featured pizza or hamburgers or fish sticks cafeteria style.

I know. I was surprised when I learned that American schools have cafeteria and you don't eat in the class rooms.
