Willing to help.

I feel so lucky to have such good friends.  I feel so sorry that I can't be of any help.
Tonight, I was drinking with friends.  A friend of mine lost her mother, brother and her sister in law.  I' m speechless tonight.

I'm so sorry to hear that your friend lost family,, was it the earthquake, sunami?I think we in Canada have lost touch with Japan as the news is less these days than the first weeks after, my heart goes out to you,, our family made a donation to the Red Cross, we must all remember our neighbors in the east.Thankyou for your posts ,, they are very interesting and enlightening,, true picture of Japan. We had a student come on a Rotary exchange 16 years ago from Fukashima,, we kept touch for years,, she came back to visit but now we have lost touch last 5 years,, i've been so worried for her.

Dear laurie,

Thank you for kind words. That was Tsunami. Her family lived in Kamaishi city, Iwate Prefecture. Her mother's house was swept away.

Thank you for the donation also !

hmm, you must be worried about your friend. It's so nice to hear that you are connected to Japan, but now it must be hard for you. hmmm. Would you like to send her name by e-mail to me ? I cannot guarantee and this is not my work, but if I could be of help, shall I ?
