102 F or 36 C degrees.. body temperature is the air temperature.

This week , it has been really humid and hot.
Today's high was 36 degrees.... some media said the highest in my area was 37 degrees.... higher than my body temperature !!! How you could say I could walk in this heat !? Yes, I did had meetings and went out. ( It felt like I was sitting in sauna for a while..... I don't have to go sauna. Thanks to the heat !?)

Many people around me are complaining or depressed from this weather.

When the weather is like this, you would lose your appetite. ( In my case, it doesn't really apply. Yes, my portion became smaller than usual and my taste is now simpler ,but I need to eat to keep my power.)

The photo is Korean noodle. Reimen.... according to the package , it has wheat flour, buckwheat flour and some others. Cook only 50 seconds in boiled water and then drain and wash in cold water. I added some ice, spicy soup ( often enclosed in the package or you can buy separately) , sliced cucumber and grilled pork and some cherries.

When it go through the throat, smooth texture soothes Summer heat. It is spicy , so sweet cherry was like a refresher of the palate. It is Korean. They use apple, pear for cooking.

Korea has some tension at the moment. In Japan, the criminal who bombed passenger plane / former North Korean agent visited and met those whose children were abducted and it was big news for the past two days..... I wonder if she eats similar cold noodles in South Korea now.

Malaysian Embassy

After Egyptian Embassy, you will see Malaysian Embassy across the street.

Egyptian Embassy

I used Daikanyama station to visit my friends' place. On the way back, I walked over to Shinsen station on Keio Inokashira line walking along old Yamate Dori.

I found Egyptian Embassy.

Birthday Party Photo --- Continued

Thanks to my friends who cooked all these.

The husband was cooking at the balcony... this hamburger, marinated Thai flavor chicken, sausages.... in this heat !

Also, I enjoyed watching kids at this party.
At this early ages, they are showing characters.... parents and I were chatting ... " ah, she is enjoying playing with boys, but she suddenly turns cold and damp them ( !) " or " he loves reading.... keen on letters. " or " he is bit shy... quiet. his sister seems more like athlete type...

This left photo has Thai food.... with authentic flavor. Basil flavored ground chicken was good with rice.... then Thai green curry with lime leaves and lemon grass.... yummy !

Fighting against Heat Wave

This heat is literally killing people in Japan.
Today, 7 people died of heat stroke.

TV news and shows are advising us to drink water with a bit of salt.

The photo is today's dinner. Tuna salad open sandwich and chicken & jews's mallow soup.

Jew's Mallow is supposed to be nutritious.
It has Beta-carotene, calcium, vitamin-B2, vitamin-c etc.

Jew's mallow became available at supermarket.... probably in this 20 years. It is originally from Egypt. It is said that when the king of Egypt became very sick, he ate Jew's mallow and his condition was improved.

Ingredients:
-Jew's Mallow Soup
5, 6 stalks of Jew's mallow with leaves. well chopped into gruel.
70 to 80 grams of ground chicken
soup powder to taste ( 1 cube or 1 tea spoon ?) / 500 cc water
1 clove of minced garlic
1 - 2 tea spoon of grape seed oil
1 to 2 tea spoon of salt

1. Heat the deep pan and pour grape seed oil.
Cook garlic until it starts smelling.

2. Add chicken and cook. Then add water and soup powder.
Bring it to boil. Remove scum.

3. Add Jew's mallow into the soup. Keep cooking for another 5 min. or so.
Add salt and taste. Enjoy !
Ingredients:
- Tuna Salad Sandwich
For today's version, I didn't use any mayonnaise. You could, if you like.
It was so hot today and my mouth wanted to taste something very simple.

Canned Tuna ( I used only a half can of small size)
1/5 stalk of Celery--- chopped
2/3 Cucumber --- chopped
Black Pepper/ 1 tea spoon of olive oil

1. Prepare bread. ( I didn't even toast it today.)

2. Mix celery, cucumber and tuna well and spread onto the bread.

When you don't have much appetizer, this is a recommendation.
